yertl b. mcnugget, new track!
maybe i should try reviving this damn blog. of course noone reads it, not many were in the first place and then i quit updating it for ages and ages and ages.
hmmm... i might find time for this soon. in the meantime if anyone happens to come here, say "hi" so i know someone was paying attention, and if you haven't been here before check out the previous prior postings at least.
and lemme know what you think of the trax on myspace. :D
super duper.
fledgeling music blog to share auditory stimulation I find fascinating; could be anything from avant garde sound art sample collage to indie folk industrial hip-hop or somesuch madness ;) also will be makin' 'n' sharin' eclectic cd length mp3 mixes monthly-bimonthly

paranoia green eggs and Japan
i found myself humming this song today, it's a Japanese hip-hop song but it's got... I think maybe it's Shamisen? - Japanese stringed instrument in it... It's called Dakara Sono Te O Hanashi, at least according to whomever originally labeled, I don't recall where I found it... It's labeled as being Dabo, who I've heard other stuff by, and I'm not sure if that's correct. Anyway, it's a really good song. Do give it a listen. (the link is "this song" up there).
Here is a real good mash-up, Faint vs. Daft Punk, "Techno Attack". And you gotta check out the site that is from, Bass 211 Bootlegs, they podcast mash-ups and other good stuff. The most recent song up is a really neat cover of Roy Orbison's "In Dreams" I am not linking directly that one. Do visit the site. :)
I believe I have mentioned Dictionaraoke("the singing dictionary") before, how so ever I dunno that I specifically referenced one of the bestest songs on there-- Stark Effect's rendition of Dr. Seuss's Green Eggs and Ham. If you like this visit Stark Effect dot com for more audio mayhem. And if you like this sort of stuff, mash-ups, or sample collage type stuff, be sure to visit the sites of the different artists who put together the songs on Dictionaraoke's site, each artist name is also a link to their website and most have other sorts of nifty audio miscellany they've created. And check out my prior posts as I have posted about such musics and sound art before.
I should note as I am speaking of such things that Negativlandland opened yesterday at Creative Electric Studios in NE Minneapolis. For more infos click on their name their and go to their website. And do check out Negativland's site.
I didn't end up going to the opening but I plan on checking this out soon.

there are bunch of live recordings here to download!
it's really quite amazing, i have a chris connelly album but haven't listened to it much- i should. last night i heard this song- ignition times four at a friend's place and recognized it as a song i heard on college radio back in the early 90's and really liked but never knew the name of. finally found out who it was. yay! the version linked to there is live. also please don't stream, it'll hurt their bandwidth... download it.

this shoulda been with the prior post, it's an audio blog i just today discovered that's pretty darn cool. the focus is on halloween related stuff but if that's not for you, scroll on down and find the clip from an old "how to pick up girls" recording.... i haven't listened to it yet myself, but does look quite promising.
and there's more jsut keep poking about...

for the love of life
hello and good mrnng. been awhile. lotta shite and whatnot transpiring... if one wants to know my day-to-another day or so state one can peep at my other blog my 'weird random world' blog. title don't mean much o' nothin'. anyways musics... i have of late been listening to einsturzende neubauten and the swans a bunch. and somewhat conversely have been enjoying some mc chris and also some gay pimp. Mc Chris has a ton of mp3's in the Raps section, which is funny 'cuz I all was collecting stuff via other means and didn't even think to check the trusty ol' internet. Gay pimp has a couple songs and a video on his site. I really like the video and the song "Soccer Practice". highly recommend. My favorite Mc Chris song so far is "Evergreen". In case you don't know, he does the Aqua Teen Hunger Force theme and also some other stuff for Adult Swim.
You can find some real audio files if you poke through the Products section of the Swans website.
Einsturzende Neubauten's site has some .wma files of their music and a buncha videos.
You can find short samples of both bands' and many others' work, as well as infos, visiting brainwashed. Tis a really awesome website and one I need to visit more often.
in other realms, much loved saturday afternoon radio show Some Assembly Required has led me to finding some cool sample collage and mash-up shite(and for other stuff scroll down a bit as I posted links to many such things in an earlier posting). Check out Myek Water's site for an assured good time. Here this is the one I really like Things to do in Denver when You're on a Train. There's some other fun stuff so go to his site. Unfortunately the mash-up I am really enamored of, featuring Nine Inch Nails and the Beatles and titled "Come Closer", mixed by DJ Zebra, doesn't seem to be readily available on the internet and I couldn't get the upload site I was trying to use to cooperate. It's a hella good track though, if you can find it you should get it.
and also, I really really like A Silver Mt. Zion/Thee Silver Mt. Zion, you can also visit their site at Southern Records for further infos. And if you go to the catalog link at their Southern Records page, and pick an album, there should be a song or 2 you can check out in mp3 or mp4 format, for each album. I should should go out to a store and purchase some of their musics.
i've also become pretty fond of an old British psych band called the astronauts. Their website has some clips and a whole song. Here are a couple songs, the first ones I found and in the same place I first found them a couple years ago-
Baby Sings Folk Songs
Protest Song
I'd also recomend checking out the mp3 archive I found these in: "antoniad".
Ooh, how helpful- there's an Einsturzende Neubauten song here, and it's one I am rather fond of: Salamandrina. Though this isn't necessarily indicative of their overall sound... but it's def. worth listenin' too. Just keep in mind they have a noisier side...
This archive also has some Coil! and a bunch of other stuff. Neato! I heart thee internet! Okay so I just bothered to go to the parent directory of this lovely mp3 archive and it's some Greek guy by the name of Panayotis Antoniadis.
It's after four am now. Tired. Must stop. Thanks for popping in and do check out the lovely links I have embedded here.
G'Nite!
a quick addendum-- Sexy Model Right Said Kraftwerk anyone?

jesus is my favorite monkey
ten minutes. than i have to go catch a damned bus.
i shall attempt the sharing with you of a couple of bands I've liked for a while and have been listening to lately--
these would kind of be artsy industrial sort of bands.
Laibach
oh, you can also file this under very interesting covers. their album of beatle's covers- Let It Be. I did manage to download one of these myself here, it worked. I don't have time to try it again now but I don't think it was too much of a rigamarole.
a couple songs and links to more info
'cuz it's interesting, here's the link for the NSK State and art collective which Laibach is a big part of.
Sorry I don't have time to post more. Also I will have to post links for the other band I wanted to turn y'alls on to, Cop Shoot Cop, tomorrow.
have pleasant evening.

i'll try and get back into it soon.
meanwhilez, if you are curious to hear musixx from Minneapolis, MN- my sometimes chilly home-

Mute Era
Heiruspecs
Ouija Radio
Gay Beast
Ganglion
Birthday Suits
the Soviettes
the Divebomb Honey
Sicbay
the Stamp Collection
All good things. I need to stop messing around online and head home. This was supposed to be a real quick-like post. Mainly 'cuz I am in excitement over Black Fag. There's lots of good local bands. I'll try and post more later, sometime, eventually. There's lots of interesting covers on thee mighty interweb also, and one of these days I'll post more of those.
And as long as I am linking shite from myspace, here is the Myspace Page for a really awesome German group that plays antique instruments and olde style sounds -- Corvus Corax! There are 3 songs here.
here's a pic from a show they played in Pennsylvania:
thanks and have a nice day. Make sure you check out the very last of the local links up there.
I must go forth for drinks and eats now.
